The best way to engage more with the book community is to watch Youtubers talk about books, also called Booktubers. To see the latest trends and check the comments how other readers are feeling. However, finding your favourite YouTuber can be hard. Here you can find a list of a few Booktubers who can help finding your spark with reading.
1. Haley Pham
Haley, form Texas, being the first Booktuber in the list is probably not a surprise to most of us readers. Her main channel about 'navigating my 20's'' has almost 3 million subscribers and her vlog channel, where most of her book video's get uploaded, almost has 1 million subscribers. From what I noticed Haley started her book journey mostly with romance. Right now she also reads fantasy and thrillers. Her vlog channel also includes monthly book wraps up. She recently uploaded a video where she set up her dream library at home! Right after, Haley did a 24-hour reading challenge in her dream library.
2. JustAli
Ali is from Texas, just like Haley. She only has one main channel with 144 thousand subscribers. Ali's main channel is all things book related from hauls to recommendations to reading vlogs.'Going to EVERY Book Store in Austin, Tx (Ep.1)' was the first video I watched of Ali. It sparked my interest because where I live there are not many book stores. I was curious what kind of book stores she would show in the video. After that I kept watching her channel. Ali recently joined bindery books. Bindery is a membership platform that enables book enthusiasts to become publishers.
3. Sara Carrolli
Next to content about books Sara also vlogs about her daily life. She has 250 thousand subscribers on her YouTube channel. Next to her book related video's, she recently started her podcast with Destiny Sidwell (another Booktuber that I will talk about later on). Together with Destiny and Haley they post collaborated video's. Check out Sara's collab video on 'Swapping our 5 reads !⭐️'. On top of this, Sara answers DM on Instagram. This is very helpful if you do not know what to read!
4. Alexa Raye
Alexa's last upload was an unhaul of books This video shows books she did not read because they have been on her TBR (to be read) list for too long or she did not like reading them. On top of her regular book video's and vlogs she has uploaded a few video's with her husband. The recent one being 'husband chooses my august TBR! 📚🌷✨'. She has almost 100 thousand subscribers. I think Alexa also gives a lot of calm and sunshine vibes, which I LOVE! Her video's are fun to watch when you need something peaceful.
5. Destiny Sidwell
Destiny is from the US as well and has 176 thousand subscribers. She has a lot of book hauls until recently where she gave herself a book buying ban. As mentioned before Destiny started a podcast together with Sara, called "Bookmark'd with Sara & Des". Every Thursday they upload a new episode. They talk about about books, rant about a variety of topics, and share glimpses of their lives on their YouTube channels.
